The Unseen Battle

Supernatural – Part 1

A biblical, balanced, and practical approach.

Spiritual Warfare

(Ephesians 6:10-18)

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,

against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” vs. 12 (NLT)

Basic Truths

1) We fight from victory not for victory.

“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (NLT)

2) We’re not fighting alone.

“Then Elisha prayed, ‘O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!’ The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.” 2 Kings 6:17 (NIV)

How to Fight the Good Fight

“We do live in the world, but we do not fight in the same way the world fights. We fight with weapons that are different from those the world uses.

Our weapons have power from God that can destroy the enemy’s strong places.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NCV)

1) Protect yourself with the Armor of God.

“Therefore PUT ON the full armor of God…” vs. 13a (NIV)

“…the belt of truth…breastplate of righteousness… your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace…take up the shield of faith…the helmet of salvation…” vs. 13b-17a (NIV

2) Move forward with the Word of God.

“…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” vs. 17b (NIV)

3) Unleash the power of prayer.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” vs. 18 (NIV)
