Outwardly Focused
Outwardly Focused
Global Outreach – Part 1
“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member BELONGS to all the others.”
To remain outwardly focused we must…
…never lose sight of the mission.
“Jesus answered them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’” Luke 5:31-32 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
…adapt our strategy.
“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.” Luke 5:7 (NIV)
“…I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel…” 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 (NIV)
…rely on God.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NIV)
“He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Luke 10:2 (NIV)
