Supernatural Part 4 | Angels | Phillip Lee

Angels

Supernatural – Part 4

Who are Angels?

1. Messengers.

“…God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph…” Luke 1:26-27 (NLT)

2.  Warriors

“That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp…” 2 Kings 19:35 (NIV)

3.  Worshippers. “The father of lies” (John 8:44)

“Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne…And they sang in a mighty chorus: ‘Worthy is the Lamb…’” Revelation 5:11-12 (NLT)

“This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

Hebrews 1:4 (NLT)

What’s their role in my life?

1) They can give me direction.

“So the next morning Balaam got up, saddled his donkey, and started off with the Moabite officials. But God was angry that Balaam was going, so he sent the angel of the Lord to stand in the road to block his way…” Numbers 22:21-22 (NLT)

2) They can protect me from danger.

“For he (God) will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.” Psalm 91:11 (NLT)

2) They can minister to me in tough times.

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:14 (NIV)

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory…because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” 1 John 4:4 (NLT)
