Change – Anxious for Nothing – Part 2

Change

Anxious for Nothing

Part 2

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

How to Thrive in Life’s Changes

(Life of Moses)

1) Recognize that God is working.

“It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, NOT FEARING the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he KEPT HIS EYES on the one who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27 (NLT)

2) Allow change to develop my character.

““There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses… (He) had great power, and he did great and wonderful things for all the Israelites to see.” Deuteronomy 34:10-12 (NCV)

3) Learn to set limits.

“…What you are doing is not good. You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.” Exodus 18:17-18 (NIV)

4) Reach out relationally.

“But Moses protested to God, ‘Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?’ God answered, ‘I will BE WITH YOU…’” Exodus 3:11-12 (NLT)

“…What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well… You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I WILL HELP YOU BOTH…” Exodus 4:14-15 (NLT)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)
