Job Title: Marriage Mentor (A Couples Volunteer Opportunity)

Day(s) of the week:  Any

Time of Day: As decided by the Mentor and the couple

Time Commitment: Approximately seven hours per couple over several sessions.  Perhaps three couples per year at most.

Start Time:  As decided by the Mentor and the couple.

Type – (individual or family-friendly): Married Couple

Brief Description:  A perfect opportunity for a couple seeking to serve God in a deeper way.  Mentors are trained using Marriage Mentoring by Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott. 

Mentors are not expected to have the answers, instead mentors encourage dialogue between the couple.  Mentors are welcome to share their experiences and opinions.

Requirements: We seek your experience, not expertise!  Marriage Mentors will be trained via an in-person training on Saturday, May 17th from 9:00am-5:00pm.  Previously divorced, currently married volunteers are welcomed.

Gifts/Skills Desired: Belief in a God-centered marriage is a must.  The ability to express warmth, acceptance, genuineness, and empathy.  Currently in a relatively happy marriage, with the desire to purposefully invest in another couple to help them navigate a journey that you have already taken.
